epiEspañol ("the Service") is an AI-powered Spanish translation tool operated by epiCorpus ("we", "us", "our").
The Service uses the Claude AI model (provided by Anthropic, PBC) to produce Spanish translations. Translations are generated by an AI system and may contain errors. They are intended as a helpful guide, not as a substitute for professional translation in legal, medical, or safety-critical contexts.
You must be at least 16 years old to use epiEspañol. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
To access translation history, saved phrases, and paid features, you must sign in using Google OAuth or a magic link sent to your email address.

epiEspañol operates on a word-allowance model. A free trial is provided on first sign-up, after which words are purchased in bundles:

Word bundles do not expire once purchased. Auto-refill subscriptions are available to automatically top up your balance when it runs low.
Billing. Purchases are processed via our payment provider.
Refunds. Under EU consumer law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase, unless you have already consumed words from the bundle during that period. To request a refund, contact epicorpus@gmail.com.
Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change by email before it takes effect.
Registered users may share a personal referral link. When a referred friend makes their first purchase, the referrer receives 7,500 bonus words credited to their account. Referred friends receive no additional benefit beyond the standard free trial. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral programme at any time, with reasonable notice to participants.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access without notice if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
Translations are generated by an AI system. While we work hard to make them accurate and natural-sounding, you acknowledge that:
Your content. You retain ownership of the text you submit for translation. By submitting text, you grant us a limited licence to process it through our AI provider solely to provide the translation service to you.
Our content. The epiEspañol application, branding, design, and software are owned by epiCorpus and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without our written permission.
Translations. The translated output is provided for your personal use. You are free to use, share, and adapt translations for any lawful purpose.
We aim to keep epiEspañol available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, update the Service, or temporarily suspend access with or without notice.
We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue features at any time. For material changes that affect paid users, we will provide at least 14 days' notice by email.
To the fullest extent permitted by Spanish and EU law:
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Spanish courts, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
