epiEspañol is a Spanish-language translation service operated by epiCorpus.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection (LOPDGDD), we are the data controller for personal data processed through this service.

We do not collect payment card details (handled by our payment processor), precise location data, or any special-category data under GDPR Article 9.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with parties not listed above.
Text you submit for translation is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train AI models. We store your translation history in our database so you can retrieve it later. You can delete your history at any time from within the app.
We recommend you do not submit sensitive personal data (passport numbers, passwords, financial details) as part of a translation request.

epiEspañol stores your preferences (theme, dialect, pre-fetch settings) in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
We set session cookies via Supabase for authentication purposes only. These are strictly necessary for the service to function and do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.
We do not use advertising, analytics, or any third-party tracking cookies.
epiEspañol is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
